Antique Telephone - Short history of England Phone Spinning Numbers to Call

It was such a good history to recall back to hundred of years ago since before the world wars. Communication taking part and playing an important role for long distance especially in military services and followed by business and family in connection.

This remind me of my friend again that she used to tell me, she has one old telephone at her house but it is not working anymore and she keep it just for fun collecting old stuffs. She got this telephone from South Africa from the local market and had a long story of this spinning telephone from England.

Amazing that this kind of spinning telephone broke a record of making communication possible. Even though newer technology eventing a tiny/smaller and smart phone but this type of old phone still keep people in their olden day memory.

It was the red telephone box setting up as the first standard phone. It lined up with bigger area box standing along the side of the building or at the corner of the street. The design of the boxes look all the same including the coloring at each sides and the width and the height of its stand.

When talking about these type of antique phones, there are so many interesting story of how it gets started and working as one of the very first long distant communication. Each one of them has a very unique history for today.

Museum

I don't often see kind of old or antique telephone displaying at the museum but I am sure there are museum that collecting this kind of stuffs. It is just a few places that I went there were no old telephone items.

Antique Shops/ Dealers

Another type of group or people who are looking to buy an old style telephone are the shop and the antique dealers for they can make their business day in luck someday if they can find a cool one that people really value it.

Antique collectors

The third type of people who buy antique telephones are people who love antiques. Anything antiques will surely attract them. What they will do will just buy and keep it at home for displaying purposes.

More than just putting their at home, the main reason is they value it with higher values that these old stuffs qualified to be praise.

The interesting thing about this is the spinning numbers, in order to make a telephone call a person need to use their fingers to touch the scrolling number where they can spin the receiver number then they can make a communication happen.
