Cambodia Noodle - How to Cook Samlor Khmer

Cambodia noodle is common type of traditional food with unique taste from different provinces of the Kingdom of Cambodia. Usually it is cooked for groups of people and never cook it for one person or just a few because there are plenty of it in one time making.

Cambodia noodle is a very Asian dish which can identify as purely Cambodian food. The nicest khmer noodle from the northwest part of the country, known as Kampot province is the best one.

There are two types of soup for Cambodian noodle. The first one is chicken carry cooked very well with delicious taste and the second one is the Khmer soup (Samlor Khmer) which is loved by many people especially the Cambodian noodle with Khmer soup from Kampot province.

Vegetable for Noodle

Vegetable is the best part to add more flavors to the noodle either with carry or khmer soup (samlor khmer). There are countless vegetable such as cucumber, cabbages, edible flowers, water convolvulus, bean sprout...etc.

Cambodian Chilly

The small chilly of Cambodia is the best for Cambodian noodle. It is hard to believe that small chilly is very hot until try it. Most foreigners cannot eat the small Cambodian chilly because it is really hot which at first they don't think it is really that hot.

Noodle for Event

Any big or small event Cambodian noodle can fit very well and it is easy to find the resources and recipes at the local village without having to go to the market to get the recipes.

Water Festival Noodle

During the 3 days of Water festival, hundred of ladies carrying noodle on their shoulders to sell it to the boat racing viewers which is usually a few million each year at the riverside area of Phnom Penh city.
