Every moment of child development brings smile to parents! Especially when your baby know how to communicate with your like smiling, producing funny voices, lifting up their hands and legs, rolling over, moving etc.

At the first stage when a newborn coming out to see this world, they communicate to give a happiness to her family by make a sweet crying voice which representing that she is born with good health and able to communicate verbally to her parents.

When she is growing up to one moth old, she can make funny voices to attract parents or whom taking of her to focus their eyes on her and she also expressing smiley face back to them in a short moment too. However this smiley face doesn't last long as she is still developing to communicate her feeling and emotion with adult especially parents that she knows since she was in her mother's womb.

10 weeks old newborn (2 months and a half old)

When a newborn baby reach their 10 weeks old, they will lean to roll their body over which parents need to give more attention to help them strengthening this movement by teaching them to roll each day.

Sure enough when you as a parent seeing your baby start rolling over, you will be really excited about and telling your friends, colleagues or anyone around you.

At this age, you baby can communicate with lovely funny voices and start moving up by using her feets kicking whatever she can kick to roll up. You can test by laying her down on the mattress and using baby pillows to hold her head...start observing...and now you can see. She is not staying still and start to kick anything she can kick to roll up and of course It is a time that she also learn to rolling over from one side to another side as well.

You can help her growing in this development by:

  • Helping her softly to get her rolling few times per day so she will be able to roll by herself as practice more. As soon as she has more strength she can do it by herself without your supports
  • Using toys (baby boy toys or baby girl toys) to attract her so she can roll

Note that there is no guarantee that a newborn baby can roll over at the age of 10 weeks. Some experienced people say, the baby can start rolling when they reach 12 weeks.

Remember when the baby starts rolling over, you don't want to leave her alone because she doesn't have enough strength to hold her head up yet. She can only rolling over but cannot turn back by herself.

Setup a safe environment for baby rolling

As much you and I wanting a safe environment our newborn baby, we can to find the best safe place for them to roll over and as mentioned above don't let them alone by any occasion.

When a baby wake up and she want to roll over, place her on the mattress which is far from the dust or any harm surrounding. Keep her away from any danger insect such as ant or similar harmful insect that can hurt them.

Always stay near to a newborn as they will surely need your help from time to time and helping them not to cry and enjoying their rolling over class. I hope you have a good time teaching and helping your baby growing!
